Europejskie Towarzystwo Suicydologii, Prewencji i Postwencji, operating also under its English name European Suicidology, Prevention & Postvention Association (ESPPA), was established in response to the urgent need to bridge scientific knowledge, responsible professional practice, and social sensitivity in addressing one of the most complex public health challenges of our time.

The mission of the Association is to actively support health and social policies in the field of mental health and suicide prevention, to develop and strengthen scientific research in suicidology, and to disseminate reliable, evidence-based knowledge on both prevention and postvention. ESPPA brings together researchers, practitioners, organisations, and socially engaged individuals; conducts educational, training, and public outreach activities; fosters international cooperation; and consistently supports families and communities affected by suicide. These families and communities are recognised as key partners in building systems of meaningful support and driving responsible, systemic change.
